Of Generous Spirit
By Sarah B. Leonard
Standing there, looking at the upside down name, Gibbs knew he had drunk too much. But it was finished now: the Kelly.
His vision blurred. From bourbon?
“She is beautiful, Jethro, your homage to our daughter.”
Shannon was there, in front of him, yet he could see the black letters through her.
“Your tribute is complete. Now you must move on.”
“Move on?” he mumbled. “More bourbon?”
“Love him, Jethro, as you know you need to love him.”
“Him?”
“Tony. He is waiting. Complete him.”
She smiled then faded away.
She had always had – and been - a generous spirit.

Date: 2010-09-14 02:22 pm (UTC)Sorry about forgetting to write new stuff ... it kinda slipped away for a bit. But, I think I have my new form of life in control now (weight loss life ... it's actually fun! I will be FORCED to go shopping soon! Or arrested for indecent exposure because things just don't work any more.) so I should be able to get back into writing. And it's been busy at work ... (yes, I do a lot of writing when I shouldn't be writing, when I should be accounting. Bad me. ;) But sneaky too...)

Date: 2010-09-14 04:17 pm (UTC)Hmm writing while at work? No never done that. Writing in class? Oh yeah, there is little inspiration better than boring teachers ;) Of course I shouldn't but I end up doing it anyway :P
Looking forward to the next thing that pops up from you :)

Date: 2010-09-16 01:26 am (UTC)Glad you liked my drabble. It is now becoming a prologue to a (very) short story which is all Ferneberga's fault. Hopefully that should be up soon (if the ghost doesn't scare the plot bunnehs away.)
