Waitng for the EPIC from Xanthelj

While I am sitting here ignoring all the things I could be doing (cleaning the house, petting the horses, putting the clothes in the dryer ... oh ... BRB) I created an icon too late to post with my story. But I thought I would post it now, while I am waiting. Better late than never, I guess.
Is it Sunday yet?
Just so you know how much time I wasted, here were the steps involved:
Find DVD of "The Concrete Overcoat Affair" from The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
Turn on TV, change settings to DVD watching, start DVD
Locate camera
Close blinds - glare on screen
Close blinds on bedroom windows - glare on screen through door
Fast forward to correct scenes (but slowly - I know they are quick scenes)
Take pictures
Blow to next set, accidently fast forward too much and lose episode
Start episode over, fast forward to scenes,
Take more pictures (lucky I did - this time I took the one I used)
Check out part two of episode for "collar pics" ... sad, no good ones cept lovely blond on table... not appropriate to my story but did get to see lovely blond in black leather collar ...was it actually a belt around his neck?
load pictures on computer
choose and crop one
decide not to use - too painful looking
choose different photo
crop
load to Print Shop software
crop, brush out most of plaid shirt collar, add headlines, decide to change font and BLOW UP SOFTWARE
lose everything because I hadn't saved yet
start over at load to Print Shop swearing at self coz I know the software does that when I change fonts
save work
brush out plaid collar, save work
crop photo, save work
add headline, save work,
add second headline, save work (see - you CAN teach an old dog etc...)
add glow, save work
add background, save work
print
scan print to save as jpeg (believe me we have tried to rename but it won't)
resize pic
save
crop because I overscanned
save
re-resize pic
save to LJ
I'm exhausted. All that work and frustration for a little icon that no one will even see because the story is already posted
So if you - anyone - see this please let me know my hard work wasn't in vain, OK?
Still waiting for beginning of epic to be posted......
