Que Sera Sera

Gibbs didn’t know which was worse: interviewing for his team or getting divorced, yet again. Another failed relationship in a veritable parade of failed relationships. The latest set of papers was awaiting his signature, stuffed carelessly beneath a seemingly useless stack of resumes.  Would the right one never appear?

Gibbs didn’t even want to lift his head, to see yet another polished probie wannabee. Finally, he glanced up to see clear green eyes. He acquiesced and took the offered hand, relishing the surprisingly firm grasp that was returned.

“Good morning. I’m Tony DiNozzo,” the young man stated.

Then he smiled.

I know - I don't know what's gotten into me!

Well, in canon it's Tony, but in this story I wanted the ambiguity, so that it could be both. Now get to bed, Young Lady!
